Charlotte Greenwood arrives and receives her corsage made of corn on the cob!
Here is a fascinating photo
Sound Engineers at work
laying in the pre-recorded sound track for the movie.
Obviously, they are working on the beautiful ballad "Out Of My Dreams"
Here is another rare photograph of
Shirley and Gordon MacRae taking a lunch break with the crew in Nogales, Arizona.
That's where all of the outdoor scenes were shot on location.
You can also see director, Fred Zinnemann, in the right corner of the picture.
And this is another fun and interesting photo of Shirley's.
This is the Christmas card that actress Charlotte Greenwood sent out to
everyone in December of 1955.

It simply reads: Greetings from Charlotte, Winkie and
Martin.
This is just the beginning. There are so many
wonderful moments from 44 years ago
that I am proud to share with all of Shirley's fans. This new section will also have more
news and more photographs from the celebration at The Egyptian Theatre this year.

"Oh What A Beautiful Movie"!
This year's event, at the Egyptian, on Sunday night was
incredible.
Shirley and Marty graciously invited a large bus load of friends
to join the fun and craziness, and it was a hoot!
Shirley had just arrived home from her concerts in San Antonio,Texas.
She had been home for maybe a little over an hour!
She looked great and had a wonderful time. The lady has got unbelievable stamina!

Shirley drove all of us down to Hollywood
Boulevard in a huge red bus......
No, of course not!
However, she was asked to sit for some photographs at the steering wheel,
while a cameraman for the television entertainment show "Extra" filmed the
festivities.
And that's one of Shirley's young fans getting a big hug and her picture taken with
Shirley
during the Intermission. A great crowd of people showed up for this spectacular full
screen,
70MM, presentation of "Oklahoma!" As everyone said, "It's the
only way to see it!

The evening began at Shirley and Marty's home in Beverly Hills.
All of their guests were treated to a lovely buffet of croissant sandwiches,
pastries, chips, soft drinks, and wine. We would not be having our dinner until around
10 p.m. at the elegant BelAge Hotel, just off of Sunset
Boulevard.
The bus trip is always fun. Shirley was laughing because Marty stood at the front of the
bus,
as sort of a special tour guide. He would point out all sorts of Los Angeles shops and
landmarks,
as we made our way to the theatre, by way of Melrose Ave.
The reason that Shirley was so amused?
Just about everyone on board the bus was from the area!
But it was so cute, Marty even took us by his favorite Kinko's
copying center.

Before arriving at the Egyptian, we drove up Vine Street towards Hollywood
Boulevard.
Shirley's Hollywood Walk of Fame Star is located on Vine, along with John Wayne's
and many other great celebrities. When we arrived at the location,
Marty hopped out of the bus, ran across the street, and jumped up and down
to indicate where her star was situated on the sidewalk.
That was a funny site to see!
